sustainably grown greens

welcome to our farm

Rogue Lettuce is a family-run farm in Rehoboth, Massachusetts. All of our greens are grown hydroponically in a climate-controlled, weather-proof environment. What’s so special about this? It means that we do not need to use herbicides, pesticides, or other harmful chemicals and we can grow our greens 365 days out of the year. It also means that our greens can go from harvest to your table in just hours. So you get hyper-local greens that last longer in your fridge and taste incredible. Plus, because our greens are grown using the most advanced and environmentally friendly hydroponic technologies, you can feel good about that fact that what you’re about to enjoy is also good for the planet.

Our Story

After being in corporate America for twenty years, Joe decided it wasn’t enough to just dream about doing something different. It was time to be more involved in something he felt passionate about. Always known for his green thumb, Joe was very intrigued when his wife Kate sent him an article about hydroponic container farming. Fast forward to three years later, what started as a home-built experimental system in our basement has now become a new family venture.

Our Products

As a local hydroponic family farm, we are happy to offer customers the freshest lettuces, greens, and herbs. Our unique farm enables us to continuously supply fresh delicious greens year round. Neither drought nor blizzards will affect our growing cycle - we are always “in season”. Because we grow in a completely self-contained environment, there is no need for pesticides or herbicides.

Hydroponic Growing

Hydroponics is more than just another way to grow plants. Coupled with the right technology, we are able to produce more food efficiently all while minimizing our impact to the environment. The crops in our farm grow in a self-contained hydroponic container. Unlike traditional farms, our plants grow vertically without the use of soil. Sunlight is replaced by custom energy efficient LED lights that emit only the spectrums that plants use for photosynthesis.

Our crops are set to an automated drip water system that monitors nutrients. Climate is controlled and water is reclaimed from the air through a dehumidification process that is repurposed into our water tanks. Our farm is so efficient that we can support 13,000 plants simultaneously using approximately 5 gallons of water per day. This all results in the most advanced, efficient way to bring quality food to you regardless of the season.
