about us

Joe grew up on a farm on the North Fork of Long Island. From early on, his father instilled in him the techniques of working the land. Knowing what and when to plant in the spring and the timing of the fall cover crop became second nature. Joe has now passed on this farming passion to his children by maintaining a garden each year. After spending more than 20 years in the world of corporate finance, he wanted to follow his passion for farming. During one snowstorm in 2017, he and his 3 kids designed and built a rudimentary hydroponics system in their basement. 6 weeks later they were enjoying fresh salads instead of weeks old lettuce from the grocery store! A dream was born.

Kate grew up right here in Rehoboth but wasn’t planning on coming back to town. She was in advertising in Providence, New York City and Boston before she left her first career for her second as a full time mom. Funny how sometimes you can’t wait to get out of the country and then realize you can’t wait to get back. Raising the kids for the past 13-plus years has been incredibly rewarding but it was definitely time to get back out there in the world. The idea of starting a business that the whole family could be involved in while also making a positive impact on our community was very appealing.

Our three children, Anna, Alec, and Evan were very early supporters of this new venture. From the very beginning they have been excited, eager farmers, helping us every step of the way. This is truly a family farm and we have all had a hand in making sure you get the best we have to offer.
